Services
Our services include exams for glasses, soft and gas permeable contact lenses in tinted, spherical, toric or bifocal form. We offer the latest in thinner, lighter lenses, progressive add lenses (no-liners), coatings, and Transitions variable tints. We carry Focus Nite and Day, Air Optix, and the Acuvue Oasys brands of contact lenses for super oxygen transmissibility to enchance comfort and decrease dryness. We have available many other types of soft lenses as well specialty Coopervision products which are known for their astigmatism and multifocal lenses. We can fill existing contact lens prescriptions. Lesser known is that we can prescribe computer glasses, prescription sunglasses, golf glasses, fishing glasses, safety glasses and glasses for special vision needs such as for librarians and carpenters. Our routine exams include tests to detect glaucoma, cataracts, diabetic retinopathy and macular degeneration. We can also evaluate and manage symptoms of dry eyes and allergies. Insurance Plans
We participate with VSP and Medicare. Medical Eye Services, EyeMed and other vision plans by arrangement. Please have your personal information available when scheduling an appointment so we may obtain your authorization for services.
Facilities and Equipment
Our office building is easily accessible from Olive Avenue and has convenient parking. It is equipped with an autorefractor to instananeously help determine the strength of your eyeglass lens, the top of the line Haag Streit slit lamp to examine the front of the eye and we do not hesitate to dilate the pupil to evaluate the interior of the eye. We have the highly regarded Humphrey visual field tester that does short and extensive tests. We use the new iCare tonometer that can barely be felt on the eye and the precise Goldmann applanation method to determine eye pressure. Our Humphrey corneal topographer can detect irregularities during LASIK screenings and help find subtle eye disease. We use the GDxVcc retinal nerve layer thickness analyser to help diagnose glaucoma up to 6 years earlier than traditional methods. We use the Internet to submit VSP claims for speed and precision. We have over 500 frames to choose from, including Brooks Brothers, Ann Klein, Versace, Gucci, Ralph Lauren, Tura, Calvin Klein, Flexon, Kate Spade, Coach, Dior, Gucci, Salvatore Ferragamo, Jimmy Choo, Burberry, Prada, Nine West and Fendi. We have recently added Dolce and Gabana, and LuLu Guinness and Juicy Couture. We carry an extensive collection of sunglasses including Ed Hardy, Arnette, Oakley, and Ray Ban. We have the Panoptyx brand of wrap around motorcycle sunglasses.
